IT Management Consultant


We are looking for a skilled IT Management Consultant with 5+ years of consulting experience, ideally from a Tier 1 consultancy, to lead and support a variety of IT and digital transformation projects. The ideal candidate is a fast learner, has a love of learning, and is motivated to continuously expand their knowledge. A broad range of project management experience, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to quickly grasp new IT domains is essential. This role will require not only technical expertise but also strong emotional intelligence (EQ) and exceptional client relationship skills to support complex, high-stakes initiatives in diverse industries.


In this role, you will apply consistent project management methodologies and consulting frameworks across a wide range of IT projects, from strategy and digital transformation initiatives to infrastructure, process optimization, and technology implementations. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, utilizing your consulting expertise to align project objectives with strategic business goals, ensuring project success and client satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple IT projects across various domains, ensuring the delivery of high-quality results within defined timelines, budgets, and scope.
  • Apply standardized and evolved methodologies and frameworks to structure and solve complex problems, adapting techniques to fit client needs and project requirements.
  • Quickly learn new IT domains relevant to client projects, applying a broad understanding of emerging trends in IT and digital transformation.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by demonstrating empathy, active listening, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Conduct stakeholder assessments, needs analyses, and requirements gathering to tailor project plans and solutions to the unique needs of each client.
  • Lead workshops, meetings, and presentations to facilitate alignment on project goals, timelines, and deliverables with clients and project teams.
  • Develop and implement change management strategies to support project engagement, minimize resistance, and maximize adoption from end-users and stakeholders.
  • Use data-driven insights and metrics to evaluate project progress, make adjustments as necessary, and communicate updates to clients and leadership.
  • Provide ongoing support and coaching to junior consultants and team members, sharing best practices and project management methodologies.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and knowledge sharing to enhance the efficiency and quality of client engagements.


Required Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years of consulting experience from a Tier 1 consulting firm (e.g., Deloitte, Accenture, PwC, BCG, McKinsey) with a focus on IT project management, digital transformation, or technology implementation.
  • Broad knowledge of IT domains including infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, digital transformation, and enterprise software solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience in applying standardized consulting methodologies (e.g., Lean, Agile, Six Sigma) to manage projects and solve complex client challenges.
  • Exceptional client relationship skills with high emotional intelligence (EQ) and the ability to empathize with client challenges and build trust.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured approach to defining issues, evaluating options, and recommending solutions.
  • Proven experience in project management with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in delivering presentations and reports to senior clients and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Smartsheet) and the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Change management experience with knowledge of change management frameworks and a track record of facilitating adoption of new technologies and processes.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Management, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree (MBA, MS in IT Management, etc.) is highly desirable.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, Agile/Scrum, Prosci) are preferred.
