Lead Supplier Performance Manager

Yates Ltd is looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Supplier Performance Management Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for engaging and managing supplier relationships, overseeing supplier governance, identifying and resolving gaps in service and commercial performance, and optimizing the delivery of supplier services. You will work closely with client Procurement teams on supplier selection and negotiations, and provide domain expertise to lead governance sessions and facilitate the commercial change process.


You will also be responsible for reporting on commercial and operating performance, tracking and managing open items and disputes, and proposing and implementing resolution steps to close performance gaps and conflicts. Additionally, you will be responsible for outlining and reporting on the value and financial and operational improvements of supplier services, monitoring and reporting on crucial deliverables and timelines, and establishing regular engagement touch points and supplier accountability.



Core Responsibilities:

  • Engage and manage provider relationships, working with client Procurement on requirements and provider selection
  • Oversee provider governance and identify gaps in service and commercial performance
  • Track and work to resolve gaps and disputes, manage and escalate open items
  • Report on value realization and optimize the delivery of provider services, including scheduling and leading status and governance meetings and ensuring providers are fulfilling reporting and governance requirements
  • Advise and work with Procurement on negotiations, commercial terms, price points/discounts, requirements, scope, metrics, and deliverables, and help craft negotiation strategies
  • Provide domain expertise to lead governance sessions, facilitate the commercial change process, and review commercial and scope language to improve operations or financial outcomes
  • Report on commercial and operating performance, track and manage open items and disputes, and set in motion remediation efforts to close performance gaps and commercial and operational conflicts
  • Outline and report on the value and financial and operational service improvements, collaborating with providers to accurately state the benefit and associated value of their services
  • Monitor and report on crucial deliverables and timelines related to provider performance
  • Provide leadership and expertise in evaluating, assessing, and coordinating improvements and efficiencies in the delivery of connectivity services
  • Establish regular engagement touch points and provider accountability for connectivity services delivery, operations, and continuous improvements
  • Escalate, track, and establish accountability for provider improvements


Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in similar roles addressing IT and technology domains
  • Working knowledge of basic financial concepts and models
  • Working knowledge of the enterprise network domain (tech, hardware, software, process, automation, etc.)
  • Expert in the use of Excel and other data analytics tools
  • Adept at general administrative tasks like data entry and word processing
  • Professional judgment for handling confidential information
  • Extreme attention to detail – both tactical and strategic (thinking through interdependencies, outcomes, implications)
  • Comfortable and effective working with all levels of the client organization, in person or remotely
  • Able to build rapport and establish trust with clients as well as assist in managing their expectations
  • Adept in observing and reporting on client behaviors and nuances that may influence project results
  • Able to identify potential issues and provide recommendations for remediation
  • Self-motivated, independent, and able to successfully work from home or remotely
