Commercial Service Delivery Management Lead

Yates Ltd is looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Commercial Service Delivery Management Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating provider quotes and scope of work development, working with client procurement teams to update commercial terms and contracts, and providing procurement consulting and support. You will also coordinate the tracking of financials, oversee licensing, and audit professional service (including time and material hourly rates) to ensure they conform to quote or contractual documentation.


In partnership with client procurement and vendor management, you will support RFPs and oversee the selection of suppliers and vendors. You will also collaborate with procurement to manage and maintain the periodic renewal of all maintenance contracts for network platforms, and provide reporting on client spending with providers. You will ensure that investments and ROI is optimized, and report on gaps in achievement of targets. Additionally, you will validate requirements, coordinate bids, and oversee ordering of all procurement-related activities, including capturing requirements from client network teams and business units, developing operational and technical evaluation criteria for bids, coordinating bids for services, labor, and hardware, evaluating proposals, redlining commercial agreements, and providing negotiation support. You will also track, administer and audit licensing programs across client network teams.


Must have:

  • A working knowledge of MPLS, SD WAN, DIA, broadband, unified communications and other enterprise network technologies
  • Direct experience negotiating with domestic and global service providers, including AT&T, Verizon, Lumen, Comcast, Bell Canada, BT, Vodafone, OBS, TATA, and others 
  • Expertise in crafting network contracts on behalf of clients – including financial, operational, and commercial terms
  • A current understanding of network market, pricing, and technical trends


Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate provider quotes and scope of work development, and work with client to update commercial terms and contracts
  • Provide Procurement consulting and support, coordinate the tracking of financials, and oversee licensing
  • Audit professional service rates to ensure they conform to quote or contractual documentation
  • Support RFPs and oversee the selection and vendors delivering  services to clients
  • Collaborate with procurement to manage and maintain the periodic renewal of all network maintenance contracts
  • Provide reporting on  spending with providers and ensure target ROI is achieved
  • Validate requirements, coordinate bids, and oversee ordering


Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in similar roles addressing IT and technology domains
  • Working knowledge of the enterprise network domain (tech, hardware, software, process, automation, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of basic financial concepts and models
  • Expert in the use of Excel and other data analytics tools
  • Adept at general administrative tasks like data entry and word processing
  • Professional judgment for handling confidential information
  • Extreme attention to detail – both tactical and strategic (thinking through interdependencies, outcomes, implications)
  • Comfortable and effective working with all levels of the client organization, in person or remotely
  • Able to build rapport and establish trust with clients as well as assist in managing their expectations
  • Adept in observing and reporting on client behaviors and nuances that may influence project results
  • Able to identify potential issues and provide recommendations for remediation
  • Self-motivated, independent, and able to successfully work from home or remotely
